Next Monday, Rotonda will host an educational day entitled “Learning by doing”, focused on the cultivation of DOP red aubergines. The event will see students from local schools as the main participants.

The day will begin with a visit to the “Il Pollino a table” company, located in the Piano Incoronata district, where school groups will be welcomed for a first approach to the agricultural world. Subsequently, at the Di Sanzo nursery, there will be a practical demonstration of aubergine sowing and a visit to the germination chamber.

The program also includes a transplant laboratory, where children can play an active role, learning through direct experience. The event will end with an outdoor breakfast, offering a moment of conviviality and learning.

Franco Bruno, president of the Consortium for the protection of Rotonda PDO red aubergines, underlined the importance of the event: “The initiative aims to enhance the local gastronomic heritage and convey the beauty of team work and contact with nature” .

The event is part of a larger project that aims to educate young people about natural processes and cultivation, promoting a practical and collaborative approach.
