MARANO DI NAPLES – Another act of vandalism against Don Luigi Merola, former parish priest of Forcella and for years a tireless driving force behind the ‘A voci d’e creatures’ Foundation, committed to the recovery of juvenile delinquency in the Arenaccia and Poggioreale neighbourhoods. The priest’s car was stolen. The theft, according to what Don Merola himself reports, took place on the night of April 24th in Marano, in the province of Naples, near his home. There is an ongoing investigation into the matter.

The same car had been damaged by unknown persons on the night of April 13th, “where I have dynamic surveillance. There are no video surveillance cameras – said Don Merola – and in this municipality between 10 and 15 cars are stolen every night. I hope they are just thieves and it’s not a message from the Camorra.”

Don Luigi Merola assures: “I won’t give up, I won’t even take a step back” and asks “my supporters and entrepreneurs to help me buy a new car immediately. We have to start again. The ‘A Voce d’e Creature Non Si Touch’ Foundation.
