The young one Lavinia Paolinioriginally from Porto Azzurro, graduated from the University of Bergamo last Monday 22 April in Comparative Modern Cultures with a thesis entitled “Artist’s studio: places of creation as changing entities. The case of Gianfranco Ferroni”.

The master’s degree thesis obtained maximum marks, 110 cum laude, with positive feedback from the Commission.

A thesis in History of Art that combines a work path undertaken in the museum and educational fields, recent collaborations with GAMeC and the role as teacher at the Enaip Foundation in Bergamo.

“The artist’s atelier is a place that represents crucial importance for understanding the developments of the history of art. Its long-lasting presence testifies to its centrality and relevance as a sacred place of creation. In the context of contemporary art, the conception of places linked to artistic production continues to evolve, with a variety of different approaches and practices – I read in the presentation of the thesis – The thesis aims to identify their constants and transformations, reconstructing specific situations and contexts, putting focusing on cases and tracing possible interpretative directions”.
