First cracks in the wide field in Cagliari. The coalition that supported Alessandra Todde in the regional elections has indicated Massimo Zedda, leader of the Progressives, as the candidate for mayor of the capital in view of the municipal elections. The diktat, however, especially on the part of the M5s, was not to further expand the perimeter of the alliance with the entry of forces that had not supported the current governor in the regional elections.

Instead, the announcement from Azione arrived, in the words of the provincial secretary Sebastiano Tola: “The provincial board of directors in concert with the regional secretariat of Azione di Calenda announce that they have reached an agreement with Massimo Zedda for the support of his candidacy for mayor in the municipal elections of Cagliari”, he writes.

“Having verified the quality of the programmatic lines of the coalition and of the candidate in line with its objectives”, Action “will support Massimo Zedda with its own list, mainly composed of representatives of the world of professions, work and productive activities”.

The confirmation came from the candidate for mayor: “I am also working in these hours to go further and involve all the democratic forces and movements – writes Zedda – to strengthen the coalition and give the city a new future, of peace, work and growth civil and economic. In this sense, I appreciate Action’s choice to support the coalition’s program and my candidacy for mayor of Cagliari, with its own list”.

Hot hours therefore, waiting for a response from the M5s who have already asked for clarification, but also from the other coalition forces.
