Great success at the Apollo Theater in Lecce for the show “More to the darkness of Italy”. The event took place on the evening of April 24th, in the presence, among others, of the Municipal Councilor for Cultural Policies, Monumental Valorization, Museum Services, Entertainment, Tourism, Historical Archives, Libraries, Public Education Fabiana Cicirillosaw a massive audience attendance, who were enthusiastic about the high-quality performances staged.
The initiative, conceived by the masters and choreographers Gino Labate and Emanuela Campiciano who have been dedicating themselves for years to socio-educational projects, aimed not only at bringing the public closer to dance, but at raising awareness, through the empathy that this art creates between artists and spectators, on important themes based on the value of life, have had the aim of raising awareness of the reflection on the valorization of life and how it should be protected.
The contemporary dance show “Mas allá de la obscuredad” curated by Barcelona Ballet Project The Companywhich sees the dancers from Lecce among the dancers who performed Diletta Friolowith choreographies by Gino Labate and Emanuela Campiciano, represented a true “hymn to respect for life”, as the creators and choreographers themselves like to define it and was introduced by a photographic exhibition entitled “Violated Lives”.
Furthermore, an information stand was set up in the foyer of the theater by the Fondazione Doppia Difesa Onlus.
At the end the award was presented Tina Modotti “Sin miedo” to women who have distinguished themselves for their competence, courage and determination in the field of scientific research, in politics, in the social field, in entrepreneurship, in the field of science and technology, in fashion, in the artistic field and in sport.
