Manuel Cristani’s canvases bewitch Florence and fly to Paris

For him, painting is life. Manuel Cristani, 25 years old from Castenedolodespite his young age, he has already come a long way: winner of an important international prize held in Florence a few days ago, he is now ready for his next experience: flying to Paris to participate in an artistic event promoted at the Galerie Thuillier .

The pages of Manuel’s story, however, are not all written with words of joy and satisfaction: suffering from bipolarisman illness that led him to experience really dark days, the young artist has undergone a rehabilitation process and is now a point of reference and support for other people with fragility, both through the CoLab association located at the Cimabue tower in San Polo, both through the mcricompany and Instagram pages manuelcristaniwhere he never fails to talk about his own experiences, interacting with those who want to tell their story.

«I have felt a passion for art ever since I had to choose high school. From the Oliveri art high school, I then completed a three-year course in Painting at the Laba in Brescia to conclude with a second level academic diploma at the ABA in Verona. The figures of two teachers were fundamental: Rinaldo Turati and Daniela Rosi, respectively painting teachers in Brescia and Verona, who gave me solid foundations and a lot of passion, thanks to which I found my style, an evocative realism that starts from reality and my thoughts until they are transfigured into the field of spirituality and unconscious emotion. The illness affected me, but I managed to react: now pages full of happiness begin». Starting from the collaboration with Artexpò Gallery came the participation and recognition in an important prize, the Grand Master of Art Giotto, in Florence.

«In the meantime some of my works – continues Cristani – they entered the showcase of the ArsValue auction house, with whom I will participate in an event in the Vatican in June. At the end of the month, thanks to the curator and director of PitturiAmo Anna Soricaro, I will be in Paris for two weeks for an important art initiative.”
