With the beginning of the month of May, as per tradition, for the twenty-second consecutive year, the the new edition of the “Tu Donna” cycle of the Great Events of the “A. Barchetta” ODV, founded and directed by Maestro Antonio Barchetta. The “Tu Donna” cycle was inspired by the late Bishop of Caserta, Monsignor Pietro Farina.
Although the diffusion of past events continues through the YouTube channel “Associazione Culturale Musicale A. Barchetta”, in addition to the continuous in-person events, the May event, beyond the love of music, as a tribute to the Madonna, constitutes a further opportunity to continue this beautiful spring initiative. As is known, the cycle of events, born in 2003, dedicates a month of activity, namely that of May, dedicated to the Woman par excellence or Mary, Mother of the Redeemer, organized by the “A. Barchetta” ODV, which presents a cycle of Conferences, Exhibitions and Concerts initiatives to the City of the Two Towers and the Manor and to the Province of Caserta. The first guided visits to the places of art have already begun on May 1st and will continue until the end of the month.
Also this year, with the use of the YouTube channel “Associazione Culturale Musicale A. Barchetta” https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpYPdWeMjL62-aj0wlEnjvA it will be possible to participate remotely and deferred to the main events for those who are unable to attend presence, or residents even from abroad. This year, the YouTube channel will play a role in the programming thanks to dedicated programming curated by Mattia D’Aiello.
The series of successful events, which will see the collaboration of the historic voice of the association Luca Ugo Tramontano, enjoys the patronage of the Campania Region, the Province of Caserta, the Municipalities of Caserta and Maddaloni, and other institutional and territorial entities. The cycle of events, which reached its twenty-second edition in 2024, has over time enjoyed the collaboration and patronage of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism – Campania Museum Center – Calatia National Archaeological Museum, of the Maddaloni Civic Museum, – we read in the note – of the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples and beyond, of the FAI – Italian Environment Fund and other public and private institutions.
The next most important chronological event is that of 8 May when at 7 pm, at the Sanctuary of San Michele, on the mountain of the same name in Maddalo, on the occasion of the “Feast of the Apparition of the Archangel Michael” there will be the Holy Eucharistic Celebration of thanks presided over by the Rector Don Angelo Delli Paoli animated by the Course of the Barchetta Association with the direction of Maestro Antonio Barchetta.
The definitive program of the cycle of events will be made official in these days, it will be presented in detail on Saturday 11 May 2024 in the morning during the radio broadcast “A Dietro l’Angolo” by New Radio Network with the presence of Maestro Antonio Barchetta interviewed by the presenter Carlo Scalera and the journalist Giuseppe Miretto. The date of presentation of the book tribute to the Bishop Emeritus of Caserta, Monsignor Raffaele Nogaro, entitled “Father Nogaro, 90 years for Christ” written by Antonio Barchetta and the undersigned will also be revealed.
