Tourism in Emilia-Romagna seems to be in good health. This is what emerges from the data for the first quarter of 2024 contained in the Report on tourist movement in hotel and non-hotel accommodation facilities in the Emilia-Romagna Region collected by the Regional Statistics Office. Attendance is growing of Italian and foreign tourists in the first quarter of the year, + 9.9% compared to 2023 (+11.9% on 2019), and the arrivals +9.3% again compared to last year (+5.4% on 2019). They are still increasing foreign tourists+15.5%, an increase of 13.3% compared to 2023 (+15.9% compared to 2019).
As a percentage, the city of art and businessdriven by Tourist Destinations, weigh on the regional tourist movement for the 43.6% from the attendance and the 47.6% of the Arrivals overall, followed by Riviera (31.8% of attendance and 27.9% of arrivals). In Ravenna there were 176,635 (+18.3% compared to last year and +51.1% compared to 2019) and in Cervia 112,549 (+49 % and +106% compared to the same quarter of 2023 and 2019).
Third place in the province for Faenza, however with a chiaroscuro figure: there were 11,884 visitors, with a decrease both compared to last year (-1.9%) and compared to 2019 (-6.3%) while 35,889 total overnight stays with double-digit growth compared to both 2023 (+13.9%) and 2019 (+10.1%).
