In recent days the 113 of Andria police station was alerted to a family dispute between two brothers, one of whom complained of harassment and mistreatment by the other. Upon the arrival of the Agents in the house shared by the two, in the upper area of ​​Canosa, a noise was immediately perceived strong smell of narcotics, initially justified as due to personal use by one of the two mallards, a 53 year old canoeburdened by a criminal record.

A house search was carried out immediately which led to the discovery of over 1 kilo and 200 gr. of narcotics, including hashish and marijuana, together with 3 liters of marijuana oil that the man was making by hand for the local market. The inside of the house had been set up with all the material for cutting the doses and packaging them. They were also seized 2,000 euros in cash which is hypothesized to be the proceeds of drug dealing. The investigations also made it possible to find aclandestine weapon perfectly functional, caliber 9, made through the assembly of pieces of real weapons, and hidden in a drawer, now being examined by the Scientific Police for the necessary ballistic tests.

Having consulted the PM on duty at the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Trani, the arrests began and, after the usual formalities, the transfer to the Trani prison. The man is held responsible for the crime of possession of narcotic substances for the purpose of trafficking, possession of an illegal weapon and resistance to violence. It should be noted that his position is being examined by the AG and that he cannot be considered guilty until a possible final sentence of conviction.
