The Port of Ravenna will be at the center of a thematic meeting to be held in May: in fact it will open the first edition of Adria Shipping Summitan event dedicated to the maritime, port, logistical and productive world of the Northern Adriatic scheduled for 23 and 24 May 2024 at the conference center of the Ferrara and Ravenna chamber of commerce, will be the session dedicated to ‘Ravenna Port Hub: Infrastructure Works‘.
Adria Shipping Summit is the event dedicated to the productive-maritime cluster of the ports of the upper Adriatic in Ravenna, Venice and Trieste. The first edition of the event will take place in Ravenna: but it will become itinerant, positioning itself in turn in the other two Northern Adriatic Port System Authorities.
A project to strengthen the infrastructure of the Port of Ravenna
This is the project of infrastructural strengthening interventions of the port of Romagna carried out by the Port System Authority of the central-northern Adriatic whose conclusion is celebrated.
The works completed – we read in a note – concern the reconstruction of the existing docks; the construction of over a kilometer of new quay where the new container terminal will be built; the deepening of the seabed of the canal port to 12.5 meters and the creation of over 200 hectares of areas equipped for logistics and businesses. The development of intermodality at the Ravenna airport corresponds to these interventions.

An ever-growing port
“The investment made by Adsp and its partners in the port of Ravenna – underlined the president Daniele Rossi – represents a potential turning point for the entire Italian port system. This is one of the most important works in the country with the aim of consolidating an port capable of managing growing volumes of traffic of both goods and cruise passengers”.
On May 24th the meeting will start with a sailing visit to the port of Ravenna during which we will see the completed works of the Hub project and we will be able to attend the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of the new maritime station of the Porto Corsini cruise terminal.
