Full room at the Viva Hotel for the debut of the electoral campaign of Antonio Gengaro, candidate for mayor of Campo Largo, who chose as his slogan: “The mayor of the Avellino people”. To support his electoral challenge, in addition to the local leaders of the Democratic Party, the European candidate Lucia Annunziata, leader of the Democratic Party in the South, Francesco Boccia and Piero De Luca of the Democratic Party, the deputy Michele Gubitosa of the Five Star Movement and the Honorable Francesco Emilio Borrelli (Avs).
Also in the room was the lawyer Benedetto De Maio, initially indicated as the coalition’s mayoral candidate and then forced to withdraw for personal reasons.
“Difficult path, but now all united to win the elections”, the watchword reiterated during the speeches.
Great applause from the audience was Piero De Luca who underlined that Avellino “is not a political laboratory but a model. Here we managed to achieve in Avellino what we were unable to do in Bari and Florence. We did well but now the revolution against those who consider public affairs as their own”.
Boccia (Pd): center-left united in Avellino to turn the page
“In Avellino the center-left presents itself united and compact in its support for Antonio Gengaro, a progressive coalition that will lead us to victory against this right, united only by the thirst for power, capable only of approving measures that harm the citizens of the South, starting from differentiated autonomy, a mortal blow for a city like Avellino, symbol of the internal areas”.
