Cremona hosts the second edition of the course Arif Course for lower and upper limbs, organized by the Orthopedics and Traumatology of Cremona, in collaboration with the associations Otodi (Orthopaedic Traumatologists Hospitals of Italy) and Siagascot (Italian Society of Arthroscopy, Knee, Upper Limb, Sports, Cartilage and Orthopedic Technologies).
Will be held Friday 3 and Saturday 4 May 2024 at Palazzo Trecchi (via Sigismondo Trecchi – Cremona) and will be able to count on a faculty of specialists in arthroscopic surgery, coming from all over Italy.
The first day will be dedicated to theoretical training, it will be free and open to all, including physiotherapists and university students of the Faculty of Medicine. The second (limited number) will be dedicated to practice: participants will be able to practice in the rooms of the Trecchi Human Lab and experiment with the most commonly used specialist techniques, assisted by teachers.

“This course was created with the aim of uniting the world of traumatology and arthroscopy, two different branches characterized by very distinct methods”. Explains Erika Maria Viola, director of the Orthopedics Unit of the Cremona Hospital and co-organizer of the event. “Working alongside specialists from all over Italy allows participants to learn more about the tools, methods and minimally invasive techniques to “look inside” the joint, reducing the impact on the patient”.
Cremona reconfirms itself as a training center at a national level: “The event will be an opportunity to share knowledge useful for improving the effectiveness of orthopedic surgery interventions”, adds Viola. “The stations set up to learn how to intervene on the upper and lower limbs provide two levels of experience, one to learn the basic techniques and the other – more advanced – reserved for specialists, who will be able to compare themselves from a “peer to peer” perspective. peer. Accessing moments of training and discussion with specialized professionals is important to share the knowledge gained so far and lay the foundations for common growth”.
