“Auser Salerno, We Together”, on the occasion of World Laughter Day, celebrated on May 5th, presents Laughter Yoga, ‘Laughter->Wellbeing->Health, Therapeutic Potential of Laughter’, a training meeting and related insights, with the aim of bringing benefits to everyone’s lives. The conference, which will be held on 3 May 2024, starting from 3.30 pm in the Antisala dei Baroni inside the Maschio Angioino in Naples, will be an opportunity for discussion between sector experts and institutional personalities, introduced by the vice president Auser Salerno Noi Insieme, Anna De Rosa, to discuss the importance of laughter which produces healthy, scientifically proven effects on mental and physical well-being.

Specifically, Laughter Yoga, a particular technique experimented by an Indian doctor, with a thaumaturgical capacity, which incites us to laugh for no reason, sharing moments of laughter with unknown people, is considered a form of universal communication that introduces into our organism , positive and therapeutic energies, capable of regenerating the spirit and every cell of the body.

The conference, in line with this principle, represents a focus to highlight a discipline, that of laughter, also accredited, which although it does not replace medical care, can activate the immune system, reducing the devastating effects of stress, and which thanks to an adequate breathing practice, allows the correct introduction of oxygen into the lungs, with consequent relaxation of the diaphragm and muscles, direct stimulation of endorphins and release of serotonin, as the promoters explain.

The lawyer Carminuccia Marcarelli, speaker of the conference and Laughter Yoga Leader, is satisfied with this initiative. “I have been suffering from fibromyalgia and therefore active in volunteering for a long time, she declares, and after many years spent experimenting with various techniques to relieve pain, without having achieved any results, I decided to follow this path. After careful research and constant observation, continues Mrs Marcarelli, by relying on the practice of laughter, I have a different approach to life, and I am able to have a more controlled management of the symptoms of a highly disabling pathology which often hinders the regular progress of everyday life”, she explains. The sessions scheduled during the Conference, punctuated by cognitive and informative interventions, therefore aim to promote a simple and functional practice, friendly to physical and mental health.
