This morning at 11am in the Prefecture of Ancona, any limitations relating to Sunday’s match between Ancona and Lucchese will be decided. The company itself communicated this with a note released on Wednesday afternoon, a note that refers to the events that occurred in Pescara. Serious facts based on what the Pescara Police Headquarters reports, where Digos has started the investigation to identify those responsible, also through the analysis of the images extrapolated from the video surveillance system of the stadium and surrounding areas, of the scuffles that took place during the match.

During the clashes to avoid contact between the two fans, an official of the Pescara Police Headquarters, working in the away section, who underwent surgery yesterday for a fractured jaw, and four service workers at the Adriatic grandstand, three soldiers of the Guardia di Finanza and a policeman from the police station who had a bruise on his finger. Of the three financiers, one was hit by a firecracker exploding and suffered a broken toe with a 30-day prognosis; another soldier suffered a fracture of a phalanx of the hand, with a prognosis of 20 days, and a third suffered blunt trauma to a shoulder with a prognosis of 5 days. The investigations involving both groups of fans are also aimed at adopting the Daspo measure.

On the sports justice front, Ancona was fined 2 thousand euros by the judge “for actions contrary to the rules on order and safety and for violent actions committed by its supporters, positioned in the away sector, consisting of ‘having exploded, during the match and at the end of the match, six firecrackers in his own sector, without consequences; and at the end of the match, he threw some smoke bombs, two full bottles of water and three firecrackers towards the Adriatic grandstand sector occupied by the opposing fans, without consequences”.

Same fine for Pescara, however, for “having thrown a smoke bomb on the athletics track and a firecracker in the playing area, without consequences; and because at the end of the match, some supporters went beyond the stewards’ cordon and, having recovered a smoke bomb that had been thrown in their direction by the opposing fans, they threw it back towards the away sector in their direction, without consequences”, even if due to this gesture and considering the density of the Ancona spectators in the sector reserved for them, a fan in an attempt to avoid the thrown a smoke bomb among the people, he was hurt and had to seek medical attention.

All this has led to the suspension of the sale of tickets for Sunday’s match between Ancona and Lucchese. It is impossible to make predictions: the most serious hypothesis would be that the match would be played behind closed doors.
