Modica, blue stripes like mushrooms. They also grow in the hospital area –

A single blue strip is emerging in every area of the city, from the shopping area to the seaside area, which will force Modicans to pay to park wherever they decide to go.

The latest, in chronological order, are those in the Ospedale Maggiore area which are creating quite a bit of controversy among citizens. Especially for those who have to go to work. One wonders what is expected for these people? A special pass or will they have to pay every day to go to work? Not only that, the problem also concerns those who have to accompany someone to a medical examination in hospital or those who have to assist a sick person.

After all, the area was already equipped with blue lines present in the parking lot of the former Court, what reason was there to add more? Yet the resolution of the municipal council is clear: 32 new paid stalls will be built.

The decision was taken following a check carried out by the Local Police which revealed the lack of usefulness of the stalls in a particular area of Via San Giuliano and Via Resistenza Partigiana with the consequent decision to eliminate them. Little utility equals little revenue (the resolution talks about the detection of parking meters) and therefore it was necessary to recover the eliminated places. And what better area than the one near the very busy hospital? And so the ASP, ‘accomplice’ of the Municipality, ceded the area in question to the latter.

Obviously the controversies will be of no use and the blue zones will remain where they are and will actually multiply because no one is really interested in making decisions in favor of the citizens but they are in the interest of a few and above all to raise cash but for that we should paint them blue the entire city!
