Petracca: a series of inaccuracies on the Pisticci-San Basilio

“Out of delicacy and composure, I preferred not to discuss certain issues in the last electoral round!!!

But last night the Presidentissimo allowed himself for the umpteenth time to lightly treat a topic as delicate as it is important for the Pisticcese community.

You spoke of a “respected commitment” on your part regarding the safety of the Pisticci/San Basilio provincial road….. The president does not know what he is talking about and he made this clear due to a series of inaccuracies expressed during one of his interviews, that is to say:

– The safety amount for the “Security is not 3 million but €2.5 million;

– The Province of Matera has not “allocated” anything for that road, as the project will be financed with FSC 2021/2027 funds, European funds made available to the Basilicata Region which in turn, due to a series of procedures, had to entrust them to the Province of Matera for the execution of the works.

The Region, following the requests of an entire community and the entire Regional Council which voted unanimously, on 01.12.2023, on a motion presented by Councilor Luca Braia, transformed the “priority” intervention to other interventions as the The Provincial body in the past 2014/2020 planning had never given priority to SP 18, but had concentrated interventions on other provincial arteries which mainly affected a random municipality. . . . Montalbano J.!

Since October 2023 (following the commitment made by President Bardi on 04.10.2023) the Regional offices have started the process for the assignment of the first tranche of “securing the provincial artery” by inserting the investment on the portal of the Council of Ministers with the CUP (Single Planning Code) H75F23000330006 of 30.10.2023.

To be defined as such, true politics must first have the COURAGE to face reality, it must be “Stubborn” in wanting to achieve the objective, but above all it must have the DELICACY not to take credit for itself!!

Some topics are better if certain personalities do not deal with them, rather:

– came to talk about the restoration of the SP PISTICCI/POZZITELLO closed for over 4 years (former slaughterhouse area);

-came to explain to us why the San Rocco Gallery is still under the responsibility of the Municipality of Pisticci;

– came to clarify why the lighting of the intersections is still half done (San Pietro / Viale Jonio / San Teodoro);

-made us understand why, despite the many commitments, our fellow citizens wait for local public transport buses in dangerous conditions and in contexts that are nothing short of shameful”.
