The 72nd edition of the Trento Film Festival opens today, the first and oldest international film festival dedicated to the mountains, adventure and exploration. From today until May 5th, 120 films and over 160 events are scheduled.
Among the guests, the mountaineers Reinhold Messner, Tamara Lunger, Krzysztof Wielicki and Silvo Karo, the Iranian climber and civil rights activist Nasim Eshqui, the climbing champion Stefano Ghisolfi, the writers Mauro Corona, Arno Camenisch, Enrico Brizzi, Erri De Luca, Fosco Terzani, Matteo Righetto, the actors Alessio Boni and Veronica Pivetti, the journalists Corrado Augias and Beppe Severgnini, the philosopher Umberto Galimberti, the explorers Alex Bellini, Tristan Gooley and Lorenzo Barone.
The heart of the Event Evenings will be the Teatro Sociale, which will host five events. this year the MontagnaLibri pavilion will be located in Piazza Duomo.
