Overnight stays in the municipality of Cervia have grown by as much as 106 percent compared to 2019
Tourists in the center of Ravenna during Easter
A record first quarter, that of 2024, for tourism in the province of Ravenna.
According to provisional ISTAT data, in fact, 364,961 overnight stays were recorded in the area’s accommodation facilities from January to the end of March. A figure – influenced by early Easter, but not only – which represents growth of 24 percent compared to last year and even 50.6 percent compared to the same period in 2019 pre-pandemic.
The actual tourists, the so-called arrivals, were almost 135 thousand (+22.1 and +25.5 percent respectively on 2023 and 2019).
The excellent performance of the municipality of Cervia weighs on the total, which recorded almost 47 thousand tourists (of which 5,500 foreigners), up by over 50 percent on both 2023 and 2019, and over 112 thousand overnight stays, which are almost the 50 percent more than last year and even 106 percent more than the same pre-pandemic period.
Similar results for the Ravenna beaches, with almost 75 thousand overnight stays, while the entire municipality of Ravenna closed the quarter with over 62 thousand tourists (+12.7 percent compared to 2023 and +22.4 percent compared to 2019) and almost 177 thousand overnight stays (respectively + 18 and +51 percent on 2023 and 2019).
Ravenna is the province with the best percentage performance in the entire region together with Forlì-Cesena.
