The results of the journey will be held on 30 April at the Teatro dei Rozzi
SIENA. From this school year, the Piccolomini institute has introduced an additional school subject for students in the first classes, inaugurating what for simplicity has been called “Theater time”. This is an optional course that students voluntarily signed up for when enrolling. The choice arises from the awareness of the educational value of the theatrical experience during the students’ cultural and personal growth path.
In fact, through the experience of theater, children approach the complexity of individual expressive dimensions by seeking the right form for their voice, their gestures, their communicative ability. furthermore, in a theater workshop you can reflect on the different languages that in history and in the present have intertwined to represent human thoughts and emotions, on the relationship between writing and improvisation with a constant activation of emotional intelligence.
The workshops were entrusted to 4 different professionals in the sector who have been dedicated to promoting theater among young people for years, such as Altero Borghi, Ugo Giulio Lurini, Silvia Priscilla Bruni, Margherita Gravagna. Each of them worked with the students of a specialization and prepared a small theatrical intervention as a summary of the experience.
Tuesday 30 April starting from 6.30 pm at the Teatro dei Rozzi will be presented the review of these experiences and the work prepared during the year. It will be a moment of celebration and great emotion for everyone for which we must thank the municipal administration which has decided to offer our children one of the most beautiful stages in the city.
The event is open to all and free, those who love theater and are curious to see students at work can take advantage of this moment which is in some ways unique.
The experimentation of theater class is in fact an exclusive of our high school and our city which together have decided to give students confidence and space for their need to express themselves.
