TREVISO – He began his rehabilitation process on Monday. The young man, during the hearing to validate his arrest, had already formulated his first words of repentance. “I apologize for what I did,” he told the investigating judge of the Venice juvenile court, who validated the arrest and ordered the precautionary measure.

THE FACTS

It all happened last April 5 around noon. Two boys, a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old, had been scolded by a woman because they were cycling through the Rialto tunnel. At that moment she was passing by Luca Gobbo, resident in Switzerland but in Treviso to visit some relatives. He intervened for defend women and it was attacked with kicks and punches come on two. Shopkeepers and waiters at the Antico Pallone called the police, who intervened immediately. But the kids didn’t even stop in front of the officers and the 17 year old was arrested for resisting.

“The path to recovery will certainly be long, but the parents, although deeply shaken, have faith” concludes the lawyer. The father of the 17 year old he hadn’t asked for discounts for his son, admitting that he no longer knew how to handle it. And in the end he also found the solidarity of Gobbo who had been beaten by the two minors. «I want to help this young man – Gobbo said – to transform a negative episode into something positive. We must give back good dreams to our kids.”
