PESCARA. A three-day long “maxi pedestrian island” to welcome the prime minister Giorgia Meloni, his ministers and the people of the three thousand Brothers of Italy. Thus the Municipality of Pescara will welcome the head of government and the big names in national politics arriving in Pescara, from tomorrow to Sunday, for the third programmatic conference of FdI in the 2,750 square meter village set up on the free Nave di Cascella beach. But the municipal ordinance entitled “temporary modification of traffic” also means a revolution for traffic, starting from 3 pm tomorrow and until 8 pm on Sunday, with the seafront closed to traffic, no parking in Piazza Primo Maggio and the streets of center closed to “ensure the safety of the personalities present”.
THREE THOUSAND COMING SOON According to the leaders of FdI, there are three thousand participants in the demonstration in the 5 tensile structures on the beach, a village that ended up at the center of the protests of the Democratic Party and of two exposed for the occupation of the state property area, one of the secretary of the Communist Refoundation Maurizio Acerbo and the other from the civic list Radici in Comune which supports the centre-left mayoral candidate Carlo Costantini. «We are proud that Abruzzo will host our national programmatic conference entitled “Italy changes Europe” in the evocative setting of Piazza Primo Maggio», says the senator Etel Sigismondi, regional coordinator of FdI. THE CONTROVERSY Three days of inconveniences and debates: Pescara will be the capital of national politics for three days. «We are proud that the party leaders have chosen Abruzzo and Pescara for the holding of the programmatic conference», say the FdI deputy Guerino Testa and the city coordinator Roberto Carrot“when Elly Schlein will have the arguments and strength to carry out a demonstration of the same scale, it will certainly be welcome and undisturbed.”
