the Albanian offers guarantees, the Dane flies

Luca Gotti’s Lecce, in addition to having impressed everyone and turning the championship around, have already got their hands on the future. From a Primavera team that finds consecration in the first team, there is already talk of another ready to follow the same path. In fact, we don’t even have time to enjoy the performances of the Danish Dorgu when Berisha seems ready.

The Albanian, to whom Gotti gave 25 minutes in the match against Sassuolo, stood out for his excellent play and personality. He made himself noticed in the middle of the field, seriously running for vice-Ramadani or Blin. And if from the first minute Rafia was preferred, a good performance for him too, it was only due to experience.

In a delicate match like the one on Sunday against the Neroverdi Gotti didn’t feel like relying on a very young debutant from the first minute. However, what she demonstrated on the pitch sheds clear light on his prospects and on the fact that, as with Dorgu, he will be a pawn of Lecce’s future. There would be interest from some Serie A clubs (Milan and Juventus) and some from the Premier League in the left-back, played as a winger by Gotti.

This summer, therefore, promises to be a hot market. It will be difficult to retain the player who is now flying towards important stages, as Gotti wished him at the end of the match, but it will be important not to sell out, to have a useful economic budget to be able to reshape the team. He won’t be the only gem to leave, most likely.

From the match against Sassuolo not only Rafia and Berisha, however. More confirmations have arrived. First of all, the fact that the two couples must not break up: we are talking about the one formed by Krstovic and Piccoli and the one formed by Dorgu and Gallo. With D’Aversa, they were inevitably each other’s natural replacement.

With Gotti, however, the two attackers coexist and show up in the attacking area, as do the two full-backs, and they too produce effects for Lecce’s game: in fact the second goal came from an assist from the former Palermo player for the young Dane. Another positive factor coming from the direct clash is yet another match which ended with Lecce’s goal unchanged. If we exclude the three goals conceded by Milan, Falcone remained unbeaten in the five matches with Gotti.

A very prestigious result for the goalkeeper but also for the coach. Thanks, obviously, alongside the famous 2-man midfield, also to the defensive sector of the proven pair Pongracic and Baschirotto, with the Croatian who was able to worthily replace a giant from last season, like Umtiti. A solid couple, who have never failed this year, even against the strong attacks of the big teams. We imagine there will be an important market for them too.

All these factors put Lecce in the standings at 35, allowing them to play the match against Monza and the two subsequent direct clashes with a certain calm, which we have seen to be Mister Gotti’s strong suit.
