Descriptive text here

Saturday 27 April, the 20th anniversary of the Canonization of Saint Gianna Beretta Molla, Casa Accoglienza di Belgioioso, together with CAV and Movimento per la vita – with the support of the Diocese of Pavia – propose a “Torchlight procession for life” through the streets of Pavia . The start is scheduled for 9pm at the Pio Albergo Pertusati, with the testimony of the director of the diocesan Caritas, Don Franco Tassone. We will then continue in the direction of the University, with a speech in Piazza Italia by Chantal Caravaggi, of the University Pastoral. Third stop in San Giovanni Domnarum, with Laura Vaccari (Health Pastoral) who will speak on the topic of the end of life. Conclusion in the church of Carmine, where Saint Gianna went during her university years. Here, in the presence of Bishop Corrado Sanguineti, the reading of an exchange of letters between Gianna Beretta Molla and her husband Pietro will be proposed. The curator of the correspondence is the couple’s daughter: Gianna Emanuela Molla, who was able to be born because her mother – affected by a fibroid in the uterus – did not want to undergo treatments that would have damaged the fetus (and she died shortly after giving birth).
