Cb6 Southern Tuscany towards the vote

SIENA. The process has begun that will lead to the renewal of the assembly of the Consorzio di Bonifica 6 Toscana Sud and the election of the new president.

The elections scheduled from Tuesday 1st to Saturday 5th October represent an important moment for the organisation: the consortium members are in fact called to choose the team that will lead Cb6 in the next five years, taking on crucial challenges for the future of the territory, both from the both hydraulic and irrigation risks.

The participatory process was opened by the announcement decree of 5 April signed by the president of Cb6, Fabio Bellacchi. The Consorzio di Bonifica 6 Toscana Sud goes to the vote to elect 15 members of the assembly, 53% of the members; the remaining 13 are appointed by the council of local autonomies (12) and by the Tuscany Region (1). The members of the assembly are not entitled to any compensation.

The next act will be the publication in the notice board of the Consorzio di Bonifica 6 Toscana Sud of the provisional list of those entitled to vote, which will take place with the president’s decree within 30 days of the announcement decree. Interested parties will then have 15 days to request any changes; after this period, as provided for by regional law 79 of 2012, the lists will become definitive and will represent the electoral pool of the elections.

From Tuesday 1 October to Saturday 5 October, from 9am to 7pm, you can vote in the consortium offices in Grosseto, in via Ximenes 3, and Siena, in via Leonida Cialfi; alternatively also in the operational offices of Marsiliana (Manciano), in Strada del Camerone, and Ponte d’Arbia (Monteroni d’Arbia), in Via Galilei 45/G. With a subsequent presidential decree, the municipalities in the district in which it will be possible to vote will also be indicated, only on October 5th from 9am to 7pm.
