OLBIA. The city of Olbia espouses the values of kindness, gratitude, happiness and forgiveness, and after Telti it is a candidate to become one of the over fifty kind municipalities in Italy.
The initiative, conceived by the writer and naturalist biologist and founder of the Centro L’Incontro di Telti Daniel Lumera and promoted by My Life Design odvaims to spread the so-called “biology of values” through projects related to education, sport, economics, social issues and much more.
The next June 13th the municipal administration will sign the “Manifesto of kindness” in Piazza Crispi during “Kidness Day”. The project was approved by resolution in the last municipal council.
“I am very happy that Olbia has chosen to become part of the Gentle Italy Movement and its international expression, the International Kindness Movement – Daniel Lumera declared in Olbianova -. For a Municipality this represents the start of a planning process aimed at concretely expressing the value of kindness in the field of tourism, in school education, in the health professions, in the care of the environment, starting from public spaces, creating places specifically dedicated to training this important value in our daily lives.
It is also an opportunity – continues the writer – to network internationally with other municipalities, provinces, states and all participating entities, sharing virtuous practices and ideas, such as the project dedicated to Kind Tourism which represents an investment in well-being and the quality of life of citizens and visitors”.
At the event on June 13th, which will see the official delivery of the “Olbia polite city” certificate to the mayor Seventh Nizziwill participate in addition to Daniel Lumerathe philosopher and psychoanalyst Massimo Recalcati and a couple of Cirque du Soleil performers.
