DANCING WITH THE HEART: MARRELLI HEALTH DONATES 12 THOUSAND EUROS TO THE PEDIATRICS DEPARTMENT OF THE CROTONE HOSPITAL AND TO THE GASLINI IN GENOA

Crotone, 5 May 2024 – An evening of dance with associated fundraising for little warriors who, certainly not by choice, find themselves living part of their lives in the wards of a hospital. This was the objective of the show “Dancing with the Heart” which took place in Crotone, at the Alkmeon Auditorium in Passovecchio, organized by the Marrelli Health entrepreneurial group on Saturday 4 May at 5pm.

Many people from Crotone participated in the charity show, where two groups of professional dancers, SKS Art Dancing Academy of Genoa and Alma Cubana of Crotone, gave a show in the name of generosity and love.
Twelve thousand euros of funds raised through the sale of tickets to participate in the event were donated to the pediatric department of the San Giovanni di Dio hospital in Crotone and the Gaslini pediatric hospital in Genoa.
The architect Antonella Stasi Marrelli, president of the Marrelli Group, proudly illustrated the results of this initiative and declared: “We thought of this initiative in agreement with the Gaslini professionals with whom we have been collaborating for a year now, to contribute to the purchase of new technologies for young patients. Behind every sick child there is a family involved who suffers and we as a private individual are firmly convinced that networking is essential to be able to guarantee better services to young patients, facilitate the recovery phase with the help of paediatricians of free choice and support a taking care of the little patient from the moment of diagnosis, to the operation, even if this takes place far from home, to convalescence. All this thanks to the synergy between public and private.”

The evening hosted by the journalist and director of Esperia TV, Salvatore Audia, saw the participation of the head of the pediatric department of the Crotone hospital, Doctor Stefania Zampogna and the head and director of the School of Specialization of Pediatric Surgery at Gaslini in Genoa, Girolamo Mattioli.

“I can only thank Doctor Stasi for this wonderful initiative which will allow us to take advantage of two new machines for the care of our little patients, declared Doctor Zampogna, who has been directing the pediatrics department of the Crotone hospital for about two years – since For some time we suffer from a significant shortage of personnel and this unfortunately does not allow us to work as we would like, but we are sure that this public-private synergy can be a further guarantee, which in addition to what we do every day with a lot of effort , to guarantee the right treatment paths for young patients in the area”.
Finally, the head of the Gaslini institute in Genoa, Professor Girolamo Mattioli, took the floor and said he was enthusiastic about the results achieved by the fundraising and after thanking President Stasi and the Marrelli group he reiterated how important the collaboration is. between public and private healthcare.
This fundraiser – Mattioli finally declared – will certainly help us to purchase new technologies for our institute which will thus allow more cutting-edge diagnoses for small patients, also from the Crotone area who finally today, thanks to the Marrelli Hospital and the cooperation that has been created with our institute and the paediatricians of Crotone, chaired by Dr. Barretta, can take advantage of our professionalism here in Crotone without having to undertake the so-called journeys of hope”.

The evening then left room for the dance of the professional dancers who involved the entire audience with their music.
