Ribbon cutting at the Marina di Pescara tourist port, for the 46th edition of the Florviva Flower Exhibition, the longest running horticultural fair in Abruzzo.
For the next four days, over 150 exhibitors will allow visitors to dive into the green and colorful world of nature thanks to plants, flowers, exhibitions of orchids, bonsai and succulent plants, cultivation workshops, courses and expert advice for creating magnificent green and flowered gardens and balconies. The event, promoted by ArfaRegional association of Abruzzo floriculture, e Assoflora, Association of Abruzzo horticultural producers, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce Chieti Pescara, will also be able to count on the creativity of the students of the European University of Design, who will showcase their most creative projects to create green oases on their balconies and terraces. Just as there will be no shortage of exhibitions dedicated to orchids, curated by Atao Abruzzo, succulent plants, with the Italian Association of Succulent Plant Lovers, Abruzzo, Molise and Marche section, or that of bonsai, which can be visited thanks to the passion for trees in miniature by Raffaello Pellicciotta and Carmine Iezzi.
Among the novelties of the 2024 edition there will be the initiative “Gardens on display”, an installation in the central square of the Marina di Pescara created with the participation of 10 Abruzzo companies that will create the largest garden ever created in 46 editions of the Florviva Flower Show. In the center of the garden, a large chessboard where children can play with pieces at their height.
