At Milan there is more and more attention on the question of the next coach, with Stefano Pioli who yesterday in a press conference dribbled away every possible question regarding next year’s bench. According to Gazzetta dello Sport today, pending possible further developments, the duel seems to have been reduced to Paulo Fonseca And Sergio Conceicao.
The first has been in Milan’s sights for months, with the managers already having received information on the matter in the autumn. The second is instead a candidate of the last few days, with agent Jorge Mendes who is working in this direction. Conceiçao is liked for the management of the group and for the formation, that 4-2-3-1 on which the team is currently designed.
According to the newspaper, Milan wants to choose without haste and without anxiety to aim for the best decision, but it is possible that next week will become the decisive one in this sense. Fonseca also has the proposal to stay from Lille and an offer from Olympique Marseille on the table, while Conceiçao has recently signed a contract renewal which, however, will have to be endorsed by the new president of Porto, André Villas-Boas. Also in the background are the names of Roberto Martinez and Mark Van Bommel, but to date the two Portuguese seem decidedly ahead in the preferences.
