Another reinforcement in the center for Il Bisonte Firenze, who officially announces the hiring of twenty-five year old Giulia Mancini, protagonist as a starter in A1 for the last three seasons with Megabox Ondulati Del Savio Vallefoglia. The Lazio central defender, who will wear the number 11 shirt, will consolidate a department that can already count on Nausica Acciarri and Božana Butigan, adding her undoubted qualities both in attack and in blocking: Giulia Mancini is a talent who blossomed early, so much so that At 17 she became Under 18 world champion with Marco Mencarelli’s national team and at 18 she made her debut in Serie A1 with Club Italia, and despite her relatively young age, she has already gained seven seasons’ experience at a high level in the top category, playing for important companies such as Scandicci, Cuneo, Filottrano and Vallefoglia.
CAREER – Giulia Mancini was born in Aprilia (LT) on 23 May 1998, and grew up in volleyball in one of the most prestigious Italian clubs at nursery level, Volleyrò Casal de’ Pazzi, with which she won two under 16 and two under 18 championships and made her debut in Serie B1 at a very young age: in the meantime she also earned her first call-ups to the national youth teams, and in 2015 she became Under 18 world champion in Peru, while in 2016 she was called up by the federal franchise of Club Italia, with which she made her debut in A1 at 18 years. In the following three seasons he wore the shirts of Scandicci, Cuneo and Filottrano, always in A1, then in 2020 he chose to move down to A2 by moving to Macerata, the club with which he won the Serie A2 Italian Cup, while in 2021 he returned to A1 with the newly promoted team Vallefoglia, of which he will wear the shirt for three seasons until arriving at Il Bisonte.
