The snowfalls in the Alps, white again after the mild weeks that accompanied the beginning of spring. Same atmospheric phenomenon along the Apennines, with snow settling at altitudes above 1,000 metres, also in Calabria. In recent days, a jolt of winter, thanks to the intense cooling of the Scandinavian area that has occurred in recent months, has crossed Italy. But now, the frost seems destined to definitively give way to almost summer temperatures. According to Andrea Garbinato, manager of -, next weekend peaks of 30 degrees will be reached in the shade in the Centre-South. Almost summer temperatures, about 10 degrees higher than the April average. The meteorologist predicts that the Scandinavian polar air will return in the next few hours. At the same time, an Atlantic cyclone will advance from West to East, reaching Normandy over the weekend: this will favor the intensification of southern currents towards our country.

In a first phase, these southerly winds will bring humid air and therefore unstable conditions, with scattered showers. Then, between Saturday and Sunday, the precipitation will move towards the North-West, leaving behind good weather conditions in the rest of the country. Report theHandle: «In the next few hours, “transition” showers between the Scandinavian air and the arriving North African air are expected: showers will be more likely in Liguria, Upper Tuscany and, from the afternoon, in most of the Central-Southern regions , patchy. Friday – 26 April – the humid air from the South will still cause some showers, especially in the afternoon and in the Centre-North. The North-West – Liguria, Piedmont, Valle d’Aosta and western Lombardy – will see a phase of bad weather that will last into the weekend with frequent snowfall above 1500-1700 metres”. The trend would seem to lead to a warmer and more serene phase throughout Italy, between Monday and Tuesday of next week. However, watch out for the rains, which could return on May 1st.
