Tried for escape (the second within a week) and brought back to house arrest in the Psychiatry department, he escaped again less than an hour later only to be promptly stopped within a few minutes by the police. The case of the petrol station arsonist in Darsena takes on dramatic and disturbing contours. The 25-year-old from Mali, assisted by lawyer Mauro Faccani, appeared yesterday morning before judge Federica Lipovscek, accused of having left the unit where he was located without permission after his arrest for the fire set on April 16th. The judge had released him at the end of the hearing, if not detained for another reason. In fact, the boy is under house arrest at the Psychiatry Department. For this reason, yesterday morning he was taken back to the treatment center by the police. Yet, shortly after, he moved away again, being stopped a short distance away. The prosecutor on duty Francesco Coco was informed of yet another episode.

According to the doctors’ initial assessment, the boy is socially dangerous in light of an obvious disorder. Already during the validation hearing for the fire he had justified the gesture by claiming to have received directives in a dream from the police. In the last 15 days, in addition to fires and escapes, he has also been the protagonist of a robbery.
