Blue Girls and Forlì share the stakes

April twenty-fifth of great softball in Pianorello, where the MiaOffice Blue Girls Softball share the match with the Italian champion Forlì. The Bolognese responded to the 4-0 victory of the Forlì team in Game 1 with a 4-3 victory in Game 2.

The ranking situation for the girls from Pianoro, fifth, isn’t that bad after allif you consider that in these first four days not only have they made three away matches, but they have already met three of the four teams most accredited for the first places: Saronno, Caronno and Forlì.

Game1 – Blue Girls-Forlì 0-4

Unfortunately there is not much to say about the first of the two matches, in which the guests concede little or nothing both in terms of play and in terms of hope to the hosts.

Veronica Comar he pitches in all seven innings, and we can’t say that he had a bad performance, although he conceded 9 hits and 4 base balls, which are worth Forlì’s four points.

The problem, in fact, is shut-out scored by Ilaria Cacciamani, who with a hit and two base balls allowed, against 12 strike outs, definitively dominates the Bolognese attack.

The first and only valid one of the Pianoro girls puts her on the ground Luna Oliveti, in the seventh inning. Too little and too late now to do anything. Forlì, in fact, at the end of the first inning is already ahead 2-0, and thanks to the already mentioned performance of its pitcher, it maintains easy control of the match.

The third and fourth points of the Forlì team, which arrived in the fifth and seventh innings, only rounded off the never questioned score of the Italian Champions.

The only positive note, as already mentioned in the past, is that there is a little bit of Bologna in this Forlì too: Kylie Milano and Alice Spiottapart of the Romagna lineup, have a past at New Bologna.

Game 2 – Blue Girls-Forlì 4-3

Race two is more competitive and full of twists. Two errors in the first inning give Forlì the 1-0, and the match risks being scored again right from the start, but fortunately this isn’t the case.

Yamerki Guevara concedes a little too much perhaps, but all in all he keeps the Forlì attack at bay and slowly Bologna steps in, trying in every way to try to overturn it.

On the third the valid ones Sarah Bortolotti and Sveva Moggi the Blue Girls delude themselves that they can score a point thanks to the top part of the lineup, but Moreland, Di Pancrazio and Trevisan were eliminated one after the otherleaving the two teammates on base.

You might think it’s a signal, but it’s not. In fact, in the fourth inning, the equalizing point arrived with Priscilla Brandi who after grounding out a hit and going to second thanks to the sacrifice fly by Luna Olive Grovesarrives home on the valid of Alessia Borracelli.

But at the change of field, the homers only by Gasparotto immediately puts Forlì back ahead: 2-1. There would be something to be sad about. Also because Guevara is visibly declining. Despite this though the Cuban manages to disengage, not without some trouble, while still keeping the Blue Girls aliveone point behind the guests, at least for the sixth inning.

In the seventh, in fact, Forlì seems to close it. Between hits and intentional bases in an attempt to close the inning, the guests they score the point of 3-1.

But as the main rule of softball goes: It’s not over until it’s over.

Moggi is eliminated, but Moreland reaches first base, and moves to second thanks to the base ball received by Of Pancratius. Captain Trevisan’s double sweeps the bases and brings the score to 3-3.

Forlì imitates the Blue Girls, and grants an intentional basis to Brandiin an attempt for a double out which would mean extra time. But Luna Oliveti does not agree and places a wonderful single to left that allows the tempo to Eva Trevisan to score the point that closes the match and awards an incredible victory to the Blue Girls, who beat Forlì 4-3.
