Third success for the Marche team on the opening day of the 5-a-side Regions Football Tournament. At the Palakrò in Crotone, Mister Cesaroni’s girls prevailed over Umbria with the final score of 3-0. Leading in the first half thanks to Elena Mariotti’s goal, in the second half the girls started strong and doubled their lead in the 4th minute with Vagnoni, then closing the score in the final with Legge.

Mister’s comment Francesco Cesaroni at the end of the race: “Today’s success starts from very far away, that is since last December when in the first stage we began to make a first selection. From that moment we have undertaken constant growth which has brought us to today. Today’s victory is the result of the work we have done and the commitment of all the staff and the girls who put their heart and soul into tackling a very treacherous race. In my opinion, Umbria is an excellent team, but after an initial study phase we grew in intensity, and it’s no coincidence that the opening goal came almost at the end of the first half. We started the second half with the same conviction and Vagnoni’s goal gave us a double lead, then we defended very well and in the end we also rounded the score. The girls were very good, but now we need to immediately reset and prepare as best we can for tomorrow’s match against Campania who won today and are a very dangerous opponent.”
