Interesting analysis carried out by colleagues from Football and Finance regarding the investments made by the properties of Italian clubs. From 2020 onwards, in fact, the data speak of investments amounting to almost 2.5 billion, both for direct payments into company coffers and for investments from a commercial point of view. The main Serie A teams have received a total of 1.93 billion euros in financing, capital increases and payments.

At the top of this special ranking is the Rome which received over 621 million euros from the Friedkins, partly used for the ordinary management of the company, partly for the restructuring of the debt and partly also for the operation with which the Capitoline company left the stock exchange. On the podium, then, there are Juventus (Exor paid over 383 million euros), and, surprisingly, Monza, which received 188.5 million from Fininvest.

Milan is fourthhaving received €129.5 million from Elliott during the 2020/21 financial year, a further five million in 2021/22 and 40 million from RedBird during 2022/23, the latter money earmarked for the stadium project, for a total of 174.5 million euros. Genoa, Inter, Fiorentina, Bologna, Salernitana and Sassuolo complete the Top 10 of Serie A.
