On the occasion of Liberation Day, Italian left Cremona it will be present in all the squares of the province to affirm the values of peace, justice and equality that the republic, born from the anti-fascist resistance, embodies. The political party shares the appeal of the anti-fascist unitary committee, which convened the national square in Milan. It also undertakes to celebrate April 25th as a symbol of universal liberation: from war, inequality and intolerance.

As reported in the press note from the provincial secretary Paolo Losco: “in the current moment, celebrating April 25th takes shape and is even more characterized by opposing, without ifs or buts, the far-right government that constantly puts our constitution under attack. It does so in proposals such as the premiership, which undermines the balance of constitutional powers, and differentiated autonomy, a source of further territorial inequalities. He does it in his actions, starting from the mystification of memory and the exploitation of history, to arrive at the choice not to pronounce the term ‘anti-fascist’ which also intrinsically and inseparably embodies the values of our republic. It does so in the occupation of the media in contempt of plural and public information, as demonstrated by the recent censorship of Antonio Scurati’s monologue, on a Rai that is less and less a public service and more and more similar to a teleregime”.
