There has always been great attention towards Perugia, through important interventions such as the recovery of Monteluce, the restoration of the FCU, the development of infrastructure, the relaunch of the airport and much more” thus the President of the Umbria Region Donatella Tesei who together with the secretary of the Umbria League, the Hon. Riccardo Augusto Marchetti and the centre-right mayoral candidate Margherita Scoccia took part at the inauguration of the electoral committee of the Perugia League in Via Ruggero d’Andreotto, 9/D.

“Perugia is a city that we care about in a particular way, not only because it is the capital, but because in these five years we have laid solid foundations for a future that we want to continue to build together – declared the Honorable Riccardo Augusto Marchetti, Secretary of the Umbria League – I am sure that the city will be able to recognize the much work done by the League, which has led Perugia to be a safer city and no longer the drug capital as it was during the years of the left governing the city. The synergy between municipal, regional and government administration has made it possible to achieve important goals such as the redevelopment of the Monteluce district, the reopening of the former FCU and the strengthening of tourism thanks to the investments made for the Umbria International Airport. The project for the new railway station in Collestrada will also be presented soon, which will facilitate the movement of tourists to and from our airport and will allow them to reach the capital even faster. Unlike the past, when Perugia was at the center of the national news for dramatic events that had a considerable negative impact on the city, the League and the centre-right were able to make it famous for its art, culture, history and traditions . The headquarters of the League that we have inaugurated will be a point of listening and discussion, open to all citizens who intend to participate or continue the work alongside us, giving their contribution so that Perugia continues to project itself towards the future without dangerous steps backwards”.

Margherita Scoccia did not miss the intervention: “We started touring the territories, listening to the people: we must all do this work together because we are first and foremost a great government team. We have demonstrated that we know how to govern Perugia and the Region well and we are also united at a national level. This was able to make the difference in addressing the enormous critical issues we found ourselves facing.”
