Port of Ravenna, 150 kg of cocaine seized (The video)

The value of the recovered drugs was estimated at over five million euros wholesale and around 25 million euros retail

Ravenna – One hundred and fifty kg of pure cocaine, divided into 139 blocks, were hidden in the seacock pipes of a ship flying the flag of the Marshall Islands at anchor in Ravenna. The divers of the company found them about 9 meters deep from the waterline Financial police during an operation conducted together with the police.

The divers of the Aeronaval Operations Department of Rimini scanned the submerged part of the hull “for several hours and despite the difficulties linked to the terrible weather and sea conditions”, explain the Fiamme Gialle and thus found the waterproofed casings. During the operation, a financier helicopter and “ground” dog units were also used. The seizure, explains the Finance Department, has “significantly affected the supply of cocaine at a national level, given that the value of the recovered drugs can be reasonably estimated at over five million euros wholesale and around 25 million euros if compared to retail sales” which would have yielded approximately 310,000 doses.
