PISA. The Curva Nord of Pisa is promoting a fundraiser for the populations of Gaza in this terrible moment. The initiative will take place on Friday 26 April, during the home match against Catanzaro (kick-off at 8.30pm).
«Situations always have different plans – says the statement – the tragedy of the Palestinian people, in an overall and general look, needs awareness, attention, a certain type of initiative, and no one has ever held back. On another level of attention, there is the particular look, aimed at individuals and families. And we, unfortunately or fortunately, in Gaza and Palestine have friends, people we have met and that many of you saw a few years ago, when they were guests in Pisa and at the Mau tournament in particular. Our attention at this moment has turned to them and we thought we could provide direct help, using certain channels. We are in contact with two guys from that group, we are trying to contact the others, which is not easy given the moment, to understand their situation and their respective needs. On the occasion of the match against Catanzaro, therefore, we will start a fundraiser to reach them and their families. We invite everyone to support us in this initiative, which as always will be reported and described: you will find compasses at the entrance, where you can leave a small contribution. All together we can always do a lot, and this time the objective is to improve the living conditions of our friends and their families, certainly a small but concrete and direct step.”
