The People of the Family and the Independence Movement attack the measure with which the municipal administrations of Faenza and Lugo (like those of the province of Ravenna) have increased the Tari tariff.
“A measure that goes against the interests of the citizens of Faenza and Lugo, who, dealing with a failing system such as door-to-door, feel increasingly oppressed by tax increases”.
Mirko De Carli, national councilor of the People of the Family and City Councilor of Riolo Terme: “We were told that with separate waste collection, citizens would gain in well-being, both environmentally and economically. In fact, they had fed us the fairy tale according to which, by differentiating more, we would spend less. Promises evidently not kept and which as People of the Family we had already immediately pointed out. The increase in the Tari, in addition to being a oppressive measure towards citizens, is the demonstration of how Hera’s monopoly on services in the Region is now something that favors only Hera and not the citizen. We will continue the battle against door-to-door, in Faenza and in Lugo.”
Ugo Viola, coordinator of the Independence Movement in the province of Ravenna, insists: “The last gift of the failed experience from the Ranalli Council. The increase in the Tari affects all citizens indiscriminately, and specifically the weakest social groups. The affront from Arera and the administrations that too easily allow these increases in tariffs is truly intolerable. It is useless for Ranalli to justify himself by talking about inflation: the pockets of the people of Lugo are crying more every day.”
Finally Alessandro Vitali, municipal manager of Il Popolo della Famiglia in Faenza and regional secretary of the PDF youth movement: “so much for door to door and saving on bills!! Proud to have started a signature collection in Faenza in recent months against this system which has already proven to be a failure from the start. Even more disastrous is the decision of the administrations to continue with this method of transfer. In this context and with this modus operandi there is only one winner: Hera. And this is what needs to change.”
Also on the same wavelength as the People of the Family and the Independence Movement is the PDMI, Paolo Silvagni’s Party of Italian Moderates.
