Taranto, appeal presented to the Coni Guarantee Board against -4

Coni himself communicated this

The Guarantee Board has received an appeal from Taranto against the Italian Football Federation and the FIGC Federal Prosecutor’s Office, with notification also extended to the General Prosecutor’s Office for Sport at CONI. CONI itself announced the news.

The appeal challenges the decision of the FIGC Federal Court of Appeal, which rejected the company’s complaint against the sanction imposed on it by the National Federal Tribunal, Disciplinary Section. The latter penalized Taranto by 4 points in the standings.

The affair originates from a referral by the FIGC Federal Prosecutor against Taranto for violations of sporting rules. The company disputes the validity of the decision of the Federal Court of Appeal and asks the Guarantee Board to suspend the sanction and annul the FIGC’s decision. Alternatively, he requests a significant reduction in the sanction imposed, by 1 or 2 points.

The Sports Guarantee Board will now have to evaluate the appeal presented by Taranto and make a decision regarding the dispute.
