Potenza and his team present “the Future of Apricena”

Yesterday, April 24, at Casa Matteo Salvatore, a fervent demonstration was held for the presentation of the mayor Antonio Potenza and his team of candidates for the list “United for Change” in Apricena. The event saw a massive participation of citizens, testifying to the enthusiasm of the local community.

The evening began with the touching speech of a young local girl, just 19 years old, who expressed gratitude to the mayor Antonio Potenza and retraced his personal growth alongside the figure of the mayor, highlighting the improvements made over the years. This moment underlined the close bond between Potenza’s leadership and the new generations, confirming confidence in the country’s future.

Mayor Power he then spoke, warmly addressing the crowd present. He emphasized the importance of young people as the fulcrum for future development, highlighting the constant investment in youth since the beginning of his mandate. The room was packed with citizens who applauded and cheered the mayor, demonstrating the community’s support and affection towards him.

Potenza expressed his emotion at the great participation, underlining that for him Apricena is a big family. He reiterated his commitment together with the “United for Change” list, and confidently stated that this team represents the best for the country. Addressing the voters, he underlined that this is not just the list of Uniti per Cambiare or Antonio Potenza, but it is the list of Apricena itself.

The presentation of the candidates featured veteran figures already part of the administration, along with new energy, including young people, bus drivers, teachers and other professionals. The list, composed at the behest of the mayor, guarantees equal representation between men and women at 50%.

The coalition lists participating in the elections include various political factions, such as Socialismo Dauno, Tu Conti di +, Noi Sono Apricena, Italia Viva and Forza Italia.

During the presentation, there was no shortage of criticism regarding the approval of the province of Foggia for the sludge treatment plant. Potenza reiterated his opposition to this project, firmly defending the environment and criticizing the Democratic Party for its handling of the issue. He denounced the creation of a committee within the PD, with members now running for local elections, highlighting the need for correctness and integrity in politics.

Continuity was indicated as a key element of the electoral campaign, with a focus on the maintenance of social services, such as the municipal nursery and tele-help for the elderly and disabled, as well as on increasing safety in schools and the organization of cultural events and playful.

Finally, reference was made to Agata Soccio, deputy mayor and councilor for social policies, who could have run for mayor. Potenza revealed that, although he had considered not running again, Soccio convinced him to do so, demonstrating strong team spirit and cohesion within the management group.
