Gyorgy Garics, coach and former defender of Bologna, spoke during the “Piazza Affari” program on TMW Radio to comment on the hot topics of the rossoblù home, with Thiago Motta’s team one step away from qualifying for the Champions League.
What are your thoughts on Bologna?
“It is certainly a team that works in this way, as we are seeing, it pleases everyone. It’s beautiful to look at and appeals to everyone. When the team turns and works, the qualities of the players are enhanced even more.”
Could Thiago Motta’s various experiences as a footballer have had an influence?
“He has an important wealth of experience. I believe that what you manage to accumulate in terms of experience as a footballer is a treasure because it cannot be taken from above. He has had an extraordinary career in many environments and countries. The coaches who grow up behind the desk, who I respect very much, do not understand certain situations well.”
Can he stay with the Champions League?
“From the outside I tell you that for me it is more likely that some players will remain rather than the coach. Thinking about the covered shoulders I have behind me at that moment, I would think about staying on as coach too. Looking at the company, the project is very important.”
