The Flying Squad of the Police Headquarters Bari arrested, in execution of a provision issued by the Bari Surveillance Office, a 62 year old criminal from Bariwith judicial precedents for mafia-style criminal association, aggravated robbery, kidnapping and illegal possession of firearms. The man is considered an alleged exponent of the “Parisi” clan.

His figure emerged as part of the well-known judicial police operation “Internal Code”, carried out by the State Police, which led to thearrest, last February, of 137 individualsbelieved to be close to the “Parisi/Palermiti” mafia-type clan. The investigations showed how the 62-year-old was engaged in establishing criminal relationships, despite the fact that he was serving a sentence under house arrest.

Among the subjects who, over the previous months, have “frequented” the man’s house, the figure of a well-known lawyer from Bari, former councilor of the Puglia Region, arrested as part of the “Internal Code” operation. It has been documented, underlined by the Police Headquarters, how, on one occasion, the former politician from Bari went to the home of the convicted felon, where the latter was confined under house arrest, to propose financial investments, which were clearly illicit and fraudulent. .
