The Maker Faire Sardinia, the digital artisans’ fair, kicks off in Olbia

The biennial event dedicated to innovation and the makers movement will be held on 26 and 27 April in the Archaeological Museum. An excellent partner will be the Mater Olbia Hospital.

OLBIA | April 25, 2024. On 26 and 27 April it will take place in Olbia Maker Faire Sardiniaa biennial event dedicated to innovation and the movement of digital artisans (makers). The fair, which this year will focus on on Artificial Intelligence, also brings together innovators, researchers and enthusiasts from across Europe with the aim of offering conferences and workshops to gain technical skills and stimulate collaboration. Partner of excellence for this third edition will be the Mater Olbia Hospital.

Over the two days, from 10am to 8pm, at Archaeological Museum of Olbia we will therefore discuss “AIRevolution > Evolving Intelligences” with a series of exhibitions, talks and workshops dedicated to makers in the field of technological innovation.

Saturday 27th at 5pm Dr. Davide Cusumanohead of the Medical Physics and Radiation Protection Operational Unit of the MOH, will participate in the panel dedicated to exploring the impacts of artificial intelligence for the medical and hospital sector, bringing his experience with AI to the radiological and radiotherapy fields.

Among the most recent projects, the Mater has recently inaugurated the innovative one MRI at 3 Teslathe first machine in Sardinia to use theartificial intelligence to guarantee much more accurate performance by reducing the duration of the diagnostic procedure.

At the event, organized by Fab Lab Olbiawill also be present Cna Gallura with its own stand.
