In his words he therefore wanted to reiterate “ours aversion to all totalitarian and authoritarian regimes“.

Meloni’s promise for Italy

In her social post, the Prime Minister underlined that totalitarian and authoritarian regimes are to be condemned, both “those of yesterday, which oppressed the people in Europe and around the world, and those of today, which we are determined to oppose with commitment and courage.”

Words that also sound like a promise for Italians, with Meloni reiterating his government’s intention to continue working “to defend democracy and for an Italy finally capable of uniting on the value of freedom”.

The controversies on social media

Words which, however, were not liked by many users who widely criticized the leader of the Brothers of Italy with poisonous comments on social media.

What is criticized is not the message in its entirety, but in some parts which for some of the president’s followers (or haters) are not coherent.

Some, in fact, are once again asking the prime minister to declare herself “anti-fascist“, still others hope that Meloni’s words can be clearly translated with one stop money and weapons for Ukraine.

Meloni’s commitments

A social post that comes a few minutes after Prime Minister Meloni’s participation in the tribute to the Fallen at the Altare della Patria in Rome, where the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella was also present as well as other state officials such as the President of the Senate Ignazio La Russa, that of the Chamber Lorenzo Fontana and the Minister of Defense Crosetto.

Meloni, according to what we learn, should not have any further commitments on April 25th. In Rome, however, several demonstrations are planned which opened with clashes between the Jewish Brigade and the pro-Palestine march in the Piramide area.
