Thursday 25 April 2024 – 10.17am

First the attack on four people mistaken for Lucca fans, then the throwing of a stone at the police in which it hit a Digos agent from Massa, injuring him: the episode last Sunday in Lucca, before the Lucchese football match Libertas 1905 – Carrarese, and for those events a supporter of the Apuan team was arrested in flagrante delicto and placed under house arrest.

The young man will have to answer for throwing dangerous material and personal injury, multi-aggravated crimes because they were committed against a public official on duty and on the occasion of a sporting event. He was also reported for the crime of misrepresentation, having tried to hide his face with a mask during the episode. The arrest was validated by the judge for preliminary investigations of Massa who ordered the signature requirement.

The visiting fans had reached Lucca that Sunday on the 2.43pm train. As soon as he got off the convoy, the 20-year-old fan attempted to attack four people mistaken for Lucca supporters. Then he headed towards the adjacent car park, believing that there were other Libertas fans. Well: while the police were trying to calm things down and redirect the fans on board the buses set up for transport to the stadium, a Carrarese fan threw a large stone towards the Digos operators of Lucca and Massa, hitting a operator of the Massa Fan Team causing injuries judged to be healable in 7 days.

The investigative activity carried out by the Digos of Lucca through the forensic videos and in collaboration with the Massa and Carrara divisions made it possible to identify the Carrarese fan allegedly responsible for the launch. Measures were therefore taken against him with arrest and complaint.
