Passalacqua Ragusa conquers Bologna and wins Race 1

Ragusa’s victory at the Segafredo Arena was a real feat, capable of overturning the home advantage in the team’s favor and giving the possibility of a home match point to access the championship semi-finals. The match was enthralling, with continuous reversals and a final characterized by balance, in which coach Lardo’s green-and-whites showed coolness in crucial moments.

The match started with Ragusa taking the lead thanks to the performances of Chidom and Jakubcova, but Bologna responded with Dojkic and Zandalasini. However, it was Milazzo who reversed the trend, giving the first advantage to Ragusa. In the second half, Bologna took the upper hand, but Ragusa reacted in the third quarter thanks to the performance of Juskaite, who led the team to a draw.

In the fourth period, the match was point to point, with Ragusa managing to keep its lead until the end, despite Bologna’s comeback attempt. In the end, it was Ragusa’s coolness that prevailed, leading to victory with a result of 75-77.

Coach Lardo praised his girls for their courageous and determined performance, even without the presence of Spreafico, to whom the victory was dedicated. Now, the team looks ahead to the next match, aware that the series is still open and that another great effort will be needed to reach the semi-final.
