Former Mastino, he takes the place of Matteo Torchio as president of the yellow and black club. The growth of Varese hockey will pass through the strengthening of the youth sector.

Corporate turning point in the Mastiffs. After the elections on Tuesday 23 April, Andrea Longhi assumes the role of president of the HC Varese 1977, taking the baton from Matteo Torchio. Accompanied by a new Board of Directors, Longhi expresses gratitude for the work carried out by his predecessor and underlines his determination to face future challenges with enthusiasm and passion.

“It’s a great emotion,” comments Longhi, “and I want to thank Matteo Torchio for his commitment and guidance. We are ready to face this new challenge with confidence and dedication, continuing the work started to grow hockey in Varese.”

For Longhi this assignment represents the realization of a dream, having been a Mastino and having always had the development of local hockey at heart. Its main objective remains the strengthening of the youth sectorwith a total commitment to the children and young people who practice this sport.

With a new team of collaborators, Longhi aims to intensify the collaboration with HCMV Varese Hockey and to actively promote hockey in local primary schools. The objective is to involve more and more young people in the game, offering them concrete opportunities for growth and training.

The dialogue with the Provincial School Office of Varese will be fundamental to implement active promotion programs and to bring new talents closer to this sport. Furthermore, Longhi is determined to organize summer activities, including summer camps, to stimulate the interest of young people and start a new season full of opportunities.
