‘Student harassed’, teacher arrested in Ravenna – News

An over-fifty professor from a high school in Ravenna has been arrested and is under house arrest on charges of having abused a minor student who attends the same school. The man, reports Resto del Carlino, was reached by a precautionary order issued by the investigating judge Andrea Galanti at the request of the prosecutor Stefano Stargiotti. The story, according to what was reconstructed by the police, developed at the end of 2023 when the man began to give her compliments, jokes, messages and some gifts. On other occasions there would also have been sexual harassment (he is accused of aggravated sexual assault).

The girl finally decided to confide in her mother to explain why she no longer wanted to go to school. At that point the specific section of the Mobile team collected the elements underlying the restrictive measure. In the guarantee interrogation, with spontaneous statements the teacher traced the incident back to misunderstandings, asking for a less afflictive measure. The institute, unaware of everything until the house arrest was notified, offered its collaboration to the investigators to shed light on every aspect.
