Prato: controversy over the waste-to-energy plant hypothesis launched yesterday by MP Mazzetti of Forza Italia

Controversy in Prato over the idea launched yesterday to Forza Italia MP Erica Mazzetti to build a waste-to-energy plant. The hypothesis was announced during a meeting promoted in the wool city by Forza Italia with the participation of the Minister of the Environment and Energy Security Gilberto Pichetto Fratin.

For the Democratic Party deputy Marco Furfaro “the right in Prato is reaching unattainable levels. For days he has been copying and pasting ideas already structured or planned by the Biffoni council, an entire flooded community has not seen a single euro from the government. Now the latest is the arrival from Rome of a minister unknown to most to explain to us how to create a circular economy. Finally, the icing on the cake: they want to build an incinerator in Prato”.

The secretary of the Prato PD Marco Biagioni is also critical: “the center-right of Prato has announced its desire to build an incinerator in Prato. And it wasn’t just any person who proposed it, but the Honorable Mazzetti, who first launched the idea and then c ‘we wanted to go back and strengthen it. Obviously we are against it’ and ‘concerned by the light-heartedness and superficiality with which the centre-right deals with such complex issues that have to do with citizens’ health’, ‘we are faced with a completely unreasonable proposal’ .

Mazzetti’s reply is ready: “Furfaro has my understanding: it’s not easy to understand a territory that you don’t know and that you live like he does, on the spot, having to get by in progressive TV lounges. I understand that there is a business of waste in Tuscany but the Furfaros will understand that, with the centre-right in government, there will also be plants, including the waste-to-energy plant, with the resulting beneficial consequences in economic and environmental terms”. According to Fdi MP Chiara La Porta from Prato, “Furfaro has evidently suffered, in an irrecoverable way, the charm of the capital. So much so that he is never seen in his chosen territory and, above all, that it leads him to rant, he was born in Pistoia , of issues that in Prato we not only know well, but which are part of our DNA, starting from the circular economy, we accept lessons from those who senselessly and baselessly offend a minister of the Republic, poorly hiding their chronic needs. to be there at all costs, because he knows he is missing.”
